Carmela Mendoza is a senior reporter for Private Equity International based in London. She first joined PEI in Hong Kong in 2015 and covered Asia. A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, she previously worked for a digital agency in Singapore focused on government websites and publications covering business, trade and industry, transport, and social development.

Andrew joined the PEI London Office in 2012 as a member of the subscription sales team, before relocating to the Hong Kong office in 2015 to run its subscription sales team, focusing on the Asia-Pacific Region. He holds an MSc from The School of Public Policy, at University College London.

Nigel joined PEI in 2017 to oversee the delegate sales function in London, New York & Hong Kong. He is an award winning sales leader, having worked in the events industry for his entire career. Nigel holds a BA Hons in Economics and an MA Hons in Japanese Studies from SOAS University of London.

Evelyn joined PEI in 2011 as a reporter focusing on the Americas for PERE. She became senior reporter in 2014 and was appointed news editor in 2015. She now oversees PERE’s news coverage globally across its digital and print publications. She holds bachelor degrees in English and Spanish from Rutgers University.

Bruno joined Infrastructure Investor in 2009, quickly becoming a leading writer covering the infrastructure asset class and the publication’s senior editor in 2015. In addition to overseeing Infrastructure Investor’s editorial content, Bruno is also senior editor for Agri Investor, launched in 2014 to cover the agriculture asset class.
Bruno graduated with Distinction from the two-year Erasmus Mundus Masters in Journalism from the universities of Aarhus, Amsterdam and Swansea, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the New University of Lisbon.

Carl has been the publisher of Regulatory Compliance Watch since 2008. He has won several national journalism awards, including for investigative reporting. Recent national awards include a second place award for Best Spot News for a story reporting Form ADV developments ahead of the SEC, and a third place award for Best Investigative Reporting for a series on an adviser that initially fought SEC charges.
He has worked at newspapers, in television news and in health care journalism. Carl hails from New Jersey, earned his master’s degree from Northwestern University and enjoys playing guitar, working out and pursuing golf when he’s not rooting for the New York Yankees.

Adam joined PEI in December 2018 in a new role as Head of Content Strategy. Previously he spent three years with investment bank Liberum and held leading editorial and content roles at Dow Jones and Informa PLC. His responsibility is to ensure PEI’s subscription products reach and engage the group’s professional audiences.

Jonathan joined the PEI team in 2009 from a UK-focused commercial property magazine to lead PERE’s coverage of the Asian markets. He became editor of the PERE website in 2012 and was appointed Senior Editor, Real Estate in 2015. Jonathan is an NCTJ-qualified journalist and holds a bachelors degree with honours from the University of Kent.

Toby re-joined PEI in 2016 to oversee content across Private Equity International, Private Funds CFO and Secondaries Investor. He has a BA in English literature and has spent time as a communications consultant advising clients in the private equity industry. Toby previously worked for PEI as a private equity reporter from 2008 to 2011.

Hugh joined PEI in April 2019. Prior to joining the company, he was the Group Publisher for Simplify Compliance, a provider of mission-critical regulatory and business information, analysis, and compliance tools. Hugh has 35 years of expertise in the financial services industry, with publishing and legal research experience spanning the public company, investment adviser, broker-dealer, credit union and banking industries. As a senior-level manager, award-winning writer and conference speaker, he has covered key issues stemming from the SEC, CFTC, DOL, NCUA, and other regulators. Over his career, Hugh has developed and created a number of new publications, online databases and value-added portals serving the needs of financial services industry professionals.

Sandra joined PEI as Head of Business Intelligence and Reporting in July 2017. She leads the data efforts within the business and implemented PEI’s first Datawarehouse.
Sandra has more than eight years of experience in Pricing, Data Analytics and Insights for an array of companies including Yahoo, Ibasis and Hertz.
She holds International Bachelors’ degrees in Business Administration and Management from Toulouse Business School and Hongskolen Buskerud. Sandra is also PMP certified and has a Diploma in Project Management from Dublin Business School. She is currently studying for an Executive Masters in Finance at London Business School.

Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in business from UMBC and is a longtime resident of the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Iris joined PEI in 2012 as Events Manager and became the Head of Event Operations – APAC in 2020. Iris is responsible for all the logistic details of conferences in Asia Pacific. A graduate in Business Administration, she began her career in event management with Haymarket Media in Hong Kong, where she worked on financial conferences, awards shows and multi-day festivals across the APAC region. In addition to her native Cantonese, Iris also speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

Lawrence joined PEI in December 2017 and is responsible for leading the event sponsorship team in the Americas. An industry speaker on how to maximize involvement in face-to-face events, Lawrence’s experience provides a unique way to engage audiences in a live setting. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University, and a BS in Management & Organizational Behavior from The Pennsylvania State University.

Suzanne came onboard in 2016 to manage the Buyouts, VCJ, and PE Hub marketing after her role as Director of Marketing for DecisionHealth. She is a senior member of PEI Media’s subscription marketing team and responsible for growing the US and global market share for PE Hub, Buyouts, Private Equity International and Private Funds CFO. Her marketing efforts have garnered several awards from the Specialized Information Publishers Association. Suzanne is a longtime resident of the Washington D.C. Metro Area and has a BA from George Mason University.

Helen joined PEI in 2014 as a conference producer and in 2017 became the Director of Events for the Asia region. Helen oversees the team who create over 14 events per year across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Real Estate and Private Debt in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore and China.
A graduate in Law and Business, Helen has worked in events for all of her professional career including alongside publications such as The Economist and Financial Times.

Craig joined PEI in July 2017. He graduated from St. John’s University in 2005 with a Master of Arts Degree in History. He has over ten years of research experience, having previously worked at ALM Media where he managed a portfolio of surveys and products that informed the legal industry.

Arshiya first joined PERE’s Asia team in Hong Kong and is now based in New York. Her stories on business and political news in the region have been published on Quartz, CNN and Lloyd’s List. Before moving to Hong Kong, Arshiya was a business correspondent covering consumer companies and advertising for a New Delhi-based trade publication. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from The University of Hong Kong.

Nicholas joined PEI in 2006 to edit PrivateEquityInternational.com. In September 2008 he moved over to run the EMEA conference business. Nicholas has an MA Hons in German from the University of Edinburgh and after a brief stint in advertising, joined Financial News as a journalist in 2000, covering the private equity industry.

Minnie joined PEI Hong Kong Office in May 2017 as a member of the subscription sales team. She is now responsible for leading the continuous growth of the subscription client base across the Asia-Pacific region. A long-term resident in Hong Kong, Minnie speaks fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and conversational Japanese.

Judy has worked in HR for over 20 years, most of it within the financial services industry. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Previous roles include time at Credit Suisse, as well as Head of Human Resources at Flood Re Limited, Lloyds Syndicate 998 and Aspen Insurance.

Isobel joined PEI in 2014 and became editor of Private Equity International in January 2017. She oversees the editorial content of the monthly magazine and contributes news and analysis for PrivateEquityInternational.com. Isobel graduated with honours from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Russian from the University of Leeds.

Chris re-joined PEI after the merger of PEI and Buyouts Insider in April 2019. He is private equity editor for Buyouts and PE HUB, in which role he oversees editorial content across the platforms. Despite the editor title, Chris loves digging in and reporting on the industry as well. Chris worked at PEI from 2008 to 2013, before moving on to run the PE HUB Wire for Reuters at the time. He’s worked in various reporter roles over the years, and started his career at community newspapers outside of Philadelphia.
